The Lexington Farmers Market opens under new management May 7.
Lexington’s downtown farmers market will open under new management and a new name on May 7.
Farley, a Georgia native, is taking over management of the Lexington Downtown Farmers Market this summer.
During its first five years the market, held in Lexington Square Park off of Main Street, has been operated by town officials.
Through his new events management company, Our Village Project, Farley hopes to “grow the market organically” and invite more people to check out what Main Street has to offer.
“I want to give a shot of adrenaline into the downtown area,” he said.
