Meet Dr. Ashlynn Turner: A Veteran Serving Her Community
Dr. Ashlynn Turner’s journey to veterinary medicine began with a childhood love of animals and grew into a lifelong calling. After earning her veterinary degree, she joined the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, caring for pets and military working dogs around the world.
Most recently, she served as the sole veterinarian for Naval Support Activity Bahrain and Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka — home to one of the military’s largest working dog kennels.
Her years of service shaped her leadership, discipline, and deep compassion — qualities that define her approach at South Lake Vet today.
A Heart for Service — Even Before Opening Day
When Southern Visions Realty visited Dr. Turner ahead of her grand opening, we saw her mission in action.
In the middle of preparing her new clinic, Dr. Turner paused to help an elderly woman who brought in her dog suffering from a painful ear infection.
Though the clinic wasn’t yet open, Dr. Turner took the time to assess the pup, ease the dog’s pain, and comfort the owner — a touching moment that perfectly reflects her dedication to both pets and people.
It was clear that South Lake Vet is already living out its purpose: serving the community with compassion, care, and heart — before the doors even officially open.
